• VBS was a huge success again this year!  God blessed us with 8 salvation decisions!  We are praising God for His faithfulness!  We are so thankful for the Youth Group from Cambridge, IA that came and ran the morning and evening VBS’s this year.  They did an excellent job.  We had lots of comments from parents about how good they were with the kids.  We had a total of 45 kids between the 2 VBS’s, with only 5 of those from our church!  Pray as we follow up with the kids and their families.
• The Douglas County Post-Gazette also came to our VBS on Tuesday and interviewed Eric and took pictures.  There was a nice article about VBS and our church in last week’s paper!  Faith and her friend were very excited to have their picture in the paper!  They think they’re famous now!  We are very thankful for the free advertising to help get our church’s name out in the community.
• Bennington Daze was a great opportunity to be in the community as well.  We had a Sea Quest float advertising VBS and handed out flyers, pens, and balloons along the parade route.  We also had a craft booth in the park where kids could make sand art bottles with the colors of the wordless book.  This gave us the opportunity to share the gospel with 300 kids before we ran out of supplies.  We’ll have to order more for next year!

• We’ve had quite a few visitors at church this past quarter.  Pray that some will find a church home with us!  Our Sunday morning attendance has had an increase of 10 people!  We are waiting on the Lord to continue growing Bennington Baptist Church!
• We have a couple of deputation meetings on our schedule in August in Nebraska.  Pray that our support level can increase so that Eric will be able to quit his full time secular job and focus fully on the ministry.  We are praying God will fill up our entire summer in 2011 with deputation meetings and reach this goal!
• Continue to pray for land for Bennington Baptist Church.  With property values so high, we are waiting on God for His provision.  Our church was able to purchase 100 like-new pew chairs from another church at half price or less, as well as a children’s size table and 17 chairs!  We are not lacking for a seat in our house now!  We are praising God for this provision in preparation for our future building!
