Looking Back

• We have had a couple of families attend that are new to our church!  There are also a couple of other new families that have said they want to come, so pray that they will be able to attend.  Pray that the Word will work in the hearts of those attending.  The Parenting Seminar has had good discussion of the Shepherding a Child’s Heart videos.  Continue to pray for Eric as he leads the Parenting Seminar discussions and for Amy as she directs JOY Club and the leaders and workers in JOY Club.
• This past Sunday was spent in Nebraska City at First Baptist Church for a deputation meeting.  We had a wonderful time getting to know the congregation there.  We were able to spend the afternoon with a sweet family from their church that is faithfully serving the LORD and training their children up to serve Him as well.  It is so neat to see God’s people working in their mission field wherever He has placed them.  Pray that we may not only gain faithful prayer support from this meeting, but financial support as well.
• Many activities in the community have given us opportunities to build relationships with new and old contacts in the community.  (Eric finds himself the assistant coach for Faith’s soccer team, while Amy has had many duties relating to being the PTO Secretary and MOMS Club Administrative Vice President.)  Pray that we will be used as God’s instruments in each of these relationships.
• Eric was able to help with the Men’s Retreat at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp last weekend.  The weekend included fun times of shooting guns, trail riding and rock-wall climbing, as well as excellent challenges from God’s Word.  The menu included buffalo to go along with the theme: Don’t Be Buffaloed, Lies Men Believe.
• The pastors and deacons from Bennington Baptist made a trip to Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary on September 10^th to speak in the college and seminary chapels and tell the students of opportunities to help serve in our church.  We had several students interested in coming for a weekend or next summer for an internship.  Pray that God will lead and direct them as they seek His will.

Looking Forward

• Eric will have the awesome opportunity to perform his first baptism!  It is so neat to see this sweet woman want to follow the LORD in believer’s baptism and eagerly study the Bible with us.
• Next weekend Eric will be the speaker for the Young Adults Retreat at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp.  Pray for him as he prepares his challenges to those that attend, and that God will use those messages to work in their hearts.
• Next week we will attend the Mid-Continent meetings in Kansas on Monday and Tuesday.  The following Monday and Tuesday Eric will be at the Nebraska Association’s Fall Meetings.   Pray that we can make contacts to help set up deputation meetings and gain support in the coming year.
• At the end of October, Eric has the opportunity to take some youth and friends from the church to Camp for the Paintball Warrior Weekend.  Pray that he will have a great time, as well as build friendships with these young men that allow Godly encouragement in their lives.

Looking Together

• Praise for visitors at the Parenting Seminar and JOY Club!  Keep these ministries in your prayers as they continue every Sunday evening through November 1^st.
• Praise for opportunities to minister in our church, First Baptist Church in Nebraska City, Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp and FBBC & TS over the past month!
• Pray for Eric as he has upcoming opportunities to speak and minister at Camp and perform a baptism and lead Bible studies in our church!  Pray that God will grow Bennington Baptist Church!
• Pray that we will be able to set up deputation meetings through contacts at upcoming association meetings.  We want to raise as much support as possible in early 2010.
